Photography
I started doing photography back in highschool with my good ol’ Canon EOS 80D. Some of my main subjects have always been nature and animals, but over the last few years, I have ventured into real estate and portrait photography. While growing in this field, I upgraded to my current beloved Canon EOS R5. I often pair it with the most feature flattering lens – the 85mm f/1.4, to create stunning portraits with a beautiful blurry background. Alongside that, my portrait power-duo includes the 35mm f/1.8 Macro lens, to vividly capture up-close details.
My approach to real estate is almost completely opposite. In order to photograph the entire room, in focus, I use a wide-angle 10-18mm lens with a narrower aperture. This creates the illusion of a much larger, and better, looking room. Accompanied with exposure bracketing, the entire area and open windows appear crisp, well-lit, and equally exposed. For large or lakefront properties, I always pull out my Mavic Air 2 drone. This extra viewpoint is a huge advantage for my clients and their listings.
